Bringing Haslemere Health Centre to life…

We are pleased to unveil a new identity for Haslemere Health Centre, an NHS doctors surgery based in Surrey. They were looking to revitalise their appearance, appear more professional and become ‘the practice you would choose’ above others in the area.
Creating a distinctive brand, we felt the patients’ journey should extend into the centre itself. Addressing the reception and waiting areas we created new signage and wayfinding, and as a result of this clear and harmonious solution the centre is more welcoming and relaxing.

Visual Assets continues to work closely with HHC with the aim of developing the surgery to become the best of the NHS.

And, the winner is…

This year we threw down the gauntlet to our preferred charity Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice* and invited them to come up with some designs for this year’s Christmas card.

The Hospice seized the challenge and members of their Brush With Art group set about with their pens, pencils and paintbrushes. The results were outstanding and as we collated the competition entries we knew that selecting a winner was not going to be easy. Each entry was carefully considered and judged by our own creative team and one design was voted the overall winner…

Congratulations goes to Susan Valerie Habgood with the winning design entitled ‘Frosty Fred”, a fabulous mixed media interpretation of a festive snowman. Again, not an easy decision, but joint runner up prizes were awarded to Anne Snozwell for the creative candles and to Mo Stokes for an excellent abstract winter scene. Well done, prizes are on their way.

May I take this opportunity to thank all of the artists at the Day Hospice who entered the competition and for their excellent creative contributions. We are also very grateful for the support and help provided by Karen McEvoy & Jenny Reynolds who manage the Brush With Art group at Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice. As a token of our appreciation we are making a donation that’s being put towards a selection of artist’s materials that we hope will further everyone’s enjoyment and participation in art and design.

Bright new identity helps Create a Star

This week sees the launch of the Create a Star scheme. As a local initiative, driven by Sport Haslemere the scheme will support youngsters in achieving the highest level of success within their chosen sport. Borne out of a similar and very successful 2012 Olympic initiative in Godalming the Create a Star scheme aims to support youngsters in the Haslemere area who have the potential to compete at an International level.

Our role was to assist with the naming convention, create an appropriate identity and to design the communications material that would engage and recruit local businesses to become sponsors of the scheme.

Any potential stars can find out more about the Create a Star scheme here and any companies seeking further information about the scheme, can contact the Project Co-ordinator, Thelma Traviss, email: m.t.traviss@talktalk.net
